Chuck Staley was born in Memphis, Tennessee and grew up living in a number of small towns in the South. After High School he studied art at the Memphis Academy of Arts and electronics at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

Following a stint in the army Staley began working in Television, first for local stations in Memphis, then in Los Angeles, directing countless hours of live TV and music videos. And finally at Television City, directing for Sixty Minutes and the CBS Evening News while writing a novel.
 
And when Staley isn’t directing TV he’s taking pictures or working in his Los Angeles studio creating the thoughtful and painterly artwork for which he is becoming known internationally.
